In that name the R isn't always pronounced as a rolling R. That would lead to the pronouciation MAHTS-yah
Other possibilities:
Martje (form of Martin)
Matsje (from either: Martin, Matthew, Mathilde,
Maatje (form of Martin)
But these are less likely, because they're not commonly used, Maartje is used way more often.
