I have been told the butterfly is a symbol of Christianity. It's always the rainbow that seems to show up in gay pride artwork and symbolism. In a way I think it's really too bad: it's gotten to be such a loaded symbol that you wouldn't want to put upa flag witha rainbow o it or wear something with a rainbow design on it because people would jump to conclusions and make judgments and rude remarks.
