[Opinions] Kerenza / Kerensa / Carenza?
Kerenza / Kerensa has been growing on me very strongly lately. It's feminine without being frilly, and has a nice lilt to it.It's also the name of an archaeologist on the fabulous British documentary series "Time Team", and I recently found out that her name is spelled Carenza rather than one of the ordinary spellings. I'm not as fond of this spelling as the others. I think, overall, that I prefer Kerenza.WDYT of Kerenza / Kerensa etc? Nickname suggestions?

I think it's quite pretty, but I would never use it. My favorite spelling is Kerenza.I can't think of any good nicknames at the moment...just Kerri and Renza.

I don't care for the Carenza spelling, either--looks a bit like the name of a car model. Or even worse, reminds me of George Costanza from "Seinfeld". :b I do like Kerenza and Kerensa quite a bit, though, and I think I also prefer the 'z' spelling.

I love Kerenza - spelt this way though I could take Kerensa too. I am not usually fond of K names though, but I don't like the Carenza spelling. Time Team is great too:)I have a fondness for Cornish names in general I have to say.

Kerenza is a pretty name. I prefer the spellings Kerenza and Kerensa. Carenza doesn't look quite right to me, but it's decent enough.

I think Kerensa is lovely! I seem to prefer it with the -s- rather than the -z- for some reason.

Kerenza is excellent. I think it's better without a nn, but how about:
Enza
Renza
Kerry
Renzie
Enzy
Kenzie

I like Kerensa a lot. For some reason I think it's go nicely with a sister Zuleika / Suleika.nns:
well in Dutch I'd say Renske, but that's not an option right ;)
Rensa
Kera
Kersa
Kers (means Cherry in Dutch :P)
Kerri / Keri
Kensabut I wouldn't use a nn and just call her Kerensa...

Actually, Renske is the kind of thing I *would* use, because I'm pretty random and eclectic with nicknames. Is it REN-skeh, REN-skee, REN-skah, or something else?

Renske is mostly pronounced as REN-skuh

Carenza looks like a misspelled Cadenza to me. While I think Cadenza could be a very cool name, I don't think Carenza is so much.I really like Kerenza, though. :)ArrayETA: Some NNs:Kiki
Keri
Kiri
Renzi
Enza
Zaza
Zuzu
Kenzy
Ren
Kennie
Kera
Curry
Enzi

I like Kerensa and Kerenza (in that order), but Carenza looks made up. This name has been on my list, off my list, etc. I like it, though, for the same reasons you do, sans archaeology. It is feminine without being frilly, and it's pleasing to the ear. I also have a deficiency of names beginning with K in my lexicon, so it fills in the gap nicely. :)Possible NNs:
Renza / Rensa
Ren
Kera
Keri
Kerza / Kersa

How can I put this... It's like going to McDonald's and ordering a 10-piece Chicken McNugget, but when you open the box there are 12 in there... ;) Sorry, lol.Really, though, I think Kerenza (this spelling) is a great name. Very unusual without being pretentious or over the top. Exotic with a soft subtlty about it. And you're right, it is feminine without having to display bows and ribbons to prove its girliness. It reminds me of a name that I've been liking a lot lately: Crescenza. I'm not sure if the names are related etymologically, though at first glance I'd say there's probably some kind of commonality in there somewhere.Nickname suggestions:Kerry
Renna
Keren
Enza
Ena(In the mountain hollers [sic] of my state, it would most likely be shortened to 'Enzy'.)
