1. What do you think of this name in general?
Eh. Too common of a flower to see it as a name.2. How would you pronounce it?
Here, it's pronounced a-ZAY-la. Properly speaking it's a-ZAY-lea, but people here are lazy3. Do you think the NN Lea works?
The way I pronounce, it no. I agree with Zaley.4. Can you think of any MN's that might work with it, considering it's style
Something more traditional. Azalea Cora would be pretty.

1. What do you think of this name in general?
♦ In theory, I like it, but in reality it's a bit too chilly and a bit too fantasy-novel for me to warm to it.2. How would you pronounce it?
♦ It's pronounced uh-ZAY-lee-uh. Mum has some in her garden.3. Do you think the NN Lea works?
♦ No, because I don't tend to like nicknames from unemphasised syllables, and the 'lee' in Azalea is weak. I would automatically use Zaily (ZAY-lee) - spell it however you like! Zaley might be more logical but I find Zaily prettier.4. Can you think of any MN's that might work with it, considering it's style?
♦ I like a plainish classicish middle name with it, otherwise the name sounds like a ridiculous concatenation rather than a flowing name combo.I'm also avoiding other flower names like the plague, which is unfortunate as many flower combos flow very well! I particularly like Azalea Rose, Azalea Daphne and Azalea Violet. No! Bad!Azalea Hope
Azalea Meredith
Azalea Charlotte
Azalea Claire
Azalea Vivienne
Azalea Ruth
Azalea Suzanne
Azalea Colleen
Azalea Rebecca
Azalea Bridget
Azalea Bethany
Azalea Genevieve (this one I really like)

1. It's nice, but my mom's name is Aurelia, and Azalea is something people sometimes call her by mistake, so the name is associated with errors in my mind.
2. Ah-ZAYL-ya
3. Sure
4. Names that work with its style:
Azalea Elena
Azalea Helen
Azalea Mary
Azalea Marie
Azalea Molly
Azalea Marina

Azalea Elena, Azalea Helen...I was going to suggest Azalea Helena, prn heh-LAY-nah; sort of splits the difference between Elena and Helen. I think of Elena and Helena as being interchangeable, frankly; I use Helena when I want to use one as a mn after a fn ending in A. Makes it easier to say, imo. I think it (either Elena or Helena) sounds particularly nice in this combo, with the two long As.:-)
