I don't like it at all for a girl, but it's a little more appealing for a boy imo. However, it's mostly accepted as a girl's name, I think, so a boy with this name may have problems with that as he grows up (people assuming he's a girl when they see only his name, etc.). Though, I knew a little girl whose middle name was
Sommer, spelled like this, and pronounced just like
Summer. It was her mother's maiden name, I believe. I think that would be awesome for a boy--Sommer. Though it does lose it's "seasonal" meaning then, though.
