I think a lot of myths were similar to propaganda. Early Hera wasn't so bad.
In the more positive sense, I guess she's associated with insight, subtlety, fidelity, self-restraint, collectiveness, empathy.
I like the name, more than most Greek goddess ones. It reminds me of Harriet and Vera, and the potential meanings are interesting.
