ArchivesSurname in my family, where does it come from???
The surname is "Maleganos"
If anyone could tell me where it originates from or what it means I'd be very interested to know!
I know of it because it is my Grandmother's maiden name. She is from Northern Greece (specifically, Makedonia - Kastoria)
We were wondering if it was originally from immigrants from Malaga who came to Greece. Or pergaps it was a name used by shepherds in the mountains of Pindos, who later moved down to Kastoria.
Anyway, if someone knows smthg or is able to find out, I'd appreciate it!
