However this surname at the moment is more common in Poland than in Spain. It is beared exactly in central Poland. A slavic form of a surname like Baden, a german surname?

It could be a variant of spanish form like Badenas. A place name originally meaning "pool"

Thanks! It may be Spanish. I know my great-grandmother was a Spanish immigrant, but my great-grandfather's lineage is unknown. My grandfather was an orphan at a very young age and doesn't really talk about his biological parents or childhood.
