ancestry.com shows a few people of Norwegian origin (they all seem to be related to each other). It looks like one person anglicized his name from Namløs to Nimlos when he emigrated to the US.
Namløs is a rare Norwegian surname (used by less than 100 people as of 2022)

It's probably derived form the name of a farm in Vestfold og Telemark County in Southern Norway.
