Any idea where these come from or what they mean?
Menkhus and Crouch.
I was told that Menkhus is German, but I have no idea what Crouch is.
Anyone have any idea?

CROUCH: My first guess would have been "cross" (via Italian "croce" maybe), but this is what I found:http://www.ancestry.com/search/SurnamePage.aspx?sourcecode=13304&html=b&fn=&ln=crouch&submit.x=0&submit.y=0MENKHUS sounds rather Dutch or maybe Frisian to me. My guess: "house of Menke" (ask Menke, what this means; he hasn't visited this board for a while, but I tink I remember, he said his name means "little man")
