Krivoshein and Unshlikht
Both of these are Yiddish last names of Jewish ethnic GRU people. They are Russified. What's the non Russified forms of these names?
Replies
1. Krivoshein → Khrivoshin or Krivoshin
2. Unshlikht → Unshlikht or Unshlikh
These are the likely non-Russified forms, closer to the original Yiddish or Eastern European roots.

As a person who knows a bit about Yiddish, those aren't the original forms (except possibly Krivoshin, but that's maybe). Unshlikht also possibly could be the same in Yiddish and Russian. Yiddish names tend to look Germanic, but spelled a bit different.
Unshlikht becomes Unschlicht in German transcription, and there is a notable namesake with this surname:

Unschlicht can be analysed as a German adjective un-schlicht "not simple, not plain, not stupid". I don't know if there are specific Jewish connotations for the choice of this surname going beyond the simple German meaning. Unschlicht is a rare to obscure name in Germany, a phone book search gives zero hits, and GND authority control data have one the Josef Unschlicht mentioned above.

On the Russian article of Iosif Unshlikht it says he was born into a rich Polish-Jewish family in the biography section so I assumed it was Yiddish. I could be wrong but that's what made me think it was Jewish.

Here I found Zofia Unszlicht on a genealogy records site. According to here she's a sibling of both Iosif (Józef) and Juljan so I'll assume they're all related are one of the few families with the surname.
