It is a Russified form of Hannolainen (source: https://www.tuomas.salste.net/suku/nimi/hannolainen.html). I don't have a source for the etymology, but it seems pretty straightforward: it is probably a diminutive of the given name Hanno, a short form of Johannes (and variant of the more common Hannu).

Do you have a source for Hanno being short for Johannes? Hanno is on the site as a diminutive of Johannes in Estonian and German. It could be Finnish too, but do you have a source that says it's also Finnish?

Rarer in Finland, but definitely used.
