Just a question -- is the reason you think Maverick sounds "feminine" because you are pronouncing the first syllable to rhyme with "save" or Maeve? Maverick is normally pronounced with the first syllable rhyming with "have" or the first syllable of Gavin.

No, I'm pronouncing it like 'have.' I don't really know, but it just sounds like a girl's name to me.

What about it 'sounds feminine'? The fact that it's basically a cowBOY name (or a rancher, more specifically) or that it ends in -rick? :-/ It's about as feminine as Bruno or Magnus, IMO. :b
