Thats fair enough. I don't like the nn Joe and I would actively discourage it on a child called Jonah or Jonas. I feel like it isn't quite such an inevitable nn as it would be on a child called Joseph, or is that really naive, lol? Any reasons as to why it seems 'whiny' or just a feeling? Thanks for your input.
