My friend met a guy named Saber once. The first thing I thought of when she told me was a lightsaber from Star Wars. I think it's a pretty cool name. I think of the spelling Saber as masculine and Sabre as feminine. I also pronounce Sabre as say-bruh because one of the contestants on So You Think You Can Dance has that name.
