I like it. On a boy though, not a girl. I know two people with this name; I thi they are both spelled Saber but I'm not sure. I'm not sure if I would spell it Sabre or Saber... I live in America so I'd probably use Saber to avoid misspellings but I think Sabre would be good in Australia. I just think of a sword, not a saber-tooth tiger, but I don't think it's too much- it's just like any word name.
