I like Elise a lot, and I would consider it a good way to honor an Elizabeth. I take a liberal approach to honoring, though, and using a similar or related name--rather than the identical name--is probably my favorite way to honor. YMMV.

No, not really. Elise isn't uncommon as a middle name, but I don't think it has achieved true filler status.
What do you think of Melody Elise? I know it repeats the EL sound but I really like that.
I don't like it at all, sorry. Not only does it repeat the EL sound, it also repeats the EE sound. I could ignore one or the other, but not both.
Opinions? Have you known any girls named Elise? Which image does the name give you?
I've known one Elise (I think). I picture an Elise as someone who is elegant, composed, and intelligent. It's a strong name.
