How often will they see each other?
If the answer is 'not often', then no, they're not too similar. If the answer is 'often', well, yes, they ARE too similar. That's how I see it.

I don't know the answer. Probably not often. I'm going to talk to my mom and brother tonight, see if they have a problem.
