It's okay. I would use it as a middle name for a girl born on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. (And Noel for a boy). Personally that's the only way I'd use it, because I don't like it well enough to use as a first name for its own sake, but I think it's okay to use for a baby born any time of year.
