I likewise don’t like Addison. I’m fine with the sound of Adelyn, and I hear that name more than Adeline or Adelaide. I think my biggest reason I don’t like that version is the name is because of the many variant spellings, which in turn obscures it on the popularity charts. Can you pin down why it is foul to you? Or it is more just an unexplainable gut reaction?

Addie is such a cute nickname, as is Ada. It’s one thing that keeps the names Adeline / Adelaide on my list.
