I pronounce it Ay-da, but I’m American. Ah-da sounds nice but I think most Americans would use the Ay sound.

I understand name snobbery. I cringe at the names my husband has listed for girls and feel validated in my snobbery by this website. However, after working in child protection services for several years the bar is low for me when it is not dealing with my future children! (You didn’t name your child after liquor, great!) I can see that the Adelyn pronunciation is viewed as a cheapening of a classic name.
