Hi Israella,
The collection of names on this site is divided into three types: given names, surnames, and place names. Surnames and place names show on surnames.behindthename.com and places.behindthename.com respectively, while the given names are on the www site. Technically speaking, they are all the same site, with the subdomain just indicating which type of names to show. Does that answer your question?
I have added a setting to display the notes. It's under the "Name Definition Pages" heading here: https://www.behindthename.com/members/edit.php?page=settings
(admins: you will not see this setting since the notes are already displayed for you automatically)
