[Opinions] Re: Evangeline
I love Evangeline, but only if the last syllable is pronounced like the word "line" (rather than like "lyn" or "leen"). That's how I first ran into the name, and it sounds wonderfully, romantically Southern to me. I hear it and think of the short story "The Osage Orange Tree" by William Stafford. It's a really good one, if rather sad, and definitely worth looking into.I prefer the name without a nickname, but if she must have one, my preference is to Evey (prn. the same as Evie, but with better associations for me).Array
