Wondering what people think of this as a name on its own.
I've always liked the sound of
Alexander, but never liked the nick name
Alex. Maybe it's just so common. I guess you could just give the name
Alexander and call him
Zander or
Xander as a nick name. Then he'd have a more common first name to fall back on if needed. You could get into other names like
Anders,
Anderson, or
Chandler too, I suppose - since I'm drawn to it by the way it sounds. But I like the Z and -er ending. Has the makings of a trendy name. Different, but not out there.
I also had a friend named
Alexandra who went by Zandy as her nick name.
Zandra could be interesting too.
Opinions? Thoughts? Middle name suggestions? Would you ever consider just using
Zander,
Zandra, or Zandy as a name?
Thanks!
