Can I ask you a question?
Actually, this question isn't directed at you specifically, but to anyone who has used a name to honor an ancestor they never met: Why?
I'm not saying that in a snotty way, I'm genuinely curious. I understand going through family trees and becoming fascinated with the people in your bloodline, and I understand loving their old-fashioned names, but when it comes to honoring, I think it's always more meaningful to honor someone you knew and loved. Honoring an ancestor who died years before you were born always seemed strange to me.
